What is the difference between a fashion Designer and a Stylist?
Good question!
In general, a Fashion Designer is involved in creating garments (choosing fabrics, sewing, pattern making, designing), where as a Fashion Stylist is more involved in elevating their client, using fashion as a tool, to put ‘looks’ together. Both have overlapping skills, but they are utilized differently daily.

what are the benefits from hiring a stylist? Is it worth it?
Yes, and no! *is the quick answer*
The key is not everyone WANTS a stylist. I personally believe that EVERYONE could benefit from working with a Personal Stylist, but if you’re not open to working with a professional then you probable won’t get the most out of the experience. And that ok!
Did you know that even some working Stylists have a staff of stylist to help them style themselves?!?
Stylists are not just for celebrities and the rich.
A stylist can help with:
A Stylist should not be telling you that you are wrong and have to throw out your entire wardrobe..... on the contrary! It’s about helping you to create new possibilities, explore more options and update your wardrobe to create a system that works for YOU!

What do I need to bring or do for a Style Session?
The short answer is nothing!
A Stylist is here to improve your sense of confidence…. NOT judge you!
So there is no need to dress-up or be nervous. 'Come as you are' is the best policy as then the stylist will understand you more.
A meeting with start with an obligation free in person consultation (usually accompanied by coffee if you live in Hong Kong) or via Zoom, to get clear on what you would like to achieve and set a plan how to make that happen. So, you can relax and be yourself!
Once you have booked, we can send you though a list of some more targeted suggestions on how you can prepare, such as not wearing heavy make-up on the day of your style session, and to wear well fitted underwear.

Is their a difference between a Personal Stylist and a Fashion Stylist?
Yes!
It depends on the individual, but in general a Personal Stylist (also known as Style Consultant, Image Consultant, Style Coach and a Stylist) works with an individual to identify their unique style and implement it in the wardrobe and or personal shopping. They tend to be highly skilled and will be keen to understand your lifestyle, preferences, needs and goals.
A Fashion Stylist, on the other hand, tends to work with magazines, celebrities, models and on photoshoots. They tend to be more focused on putting together creative outfits that look fashionable and stylish for a photoshoot or to tell a story, rather than working with an individuals identity.
