In today's fast paced world, discovering the core of who we are is at the core of building confidence. On Wednesday, March 11th, I teamed up with the fabulous Vannessa from Casscade Coaching for a delightful workshop at Perk By Kate Store in PMQ, Central, Hong Kong.

Workshop Objective
Our mission with “Seasons of You” was to help women unlock the treasure chest of their own values, decode identity shifts, and rewrite the stories that have shaped their confidence. By connecting the dots between how they want to feel and their style choices, participants were ready to address behaviours and beliefs holding them back.
Session 1: FOUNDATIONS
Our first adventure, ‘Foundations,’ kicked off with warm hellos and introductions.
The buzzword? Finding ‘confidence’ as an inner relationship amidst life's circus. I shared my lobster tale—a quirky reminder that growth often comes from the itchy discomfort of needing to shed an old shell and grown a new bigger and better sense of self, but it also takes vulnerability as part of the processes.
Vanessa then cranked up the energy with a dopamine dance party, followed by a reflective journaling session. This exploration nudged participants to peek into stories and beliefs impacting their confidence, clearing the fog around personal values and identity.
Through lively group chats and a visualisation exercise, they dreamed up how they wanted to feel —whether grounded, playful, or dazzlingly seen. In cozy group huddles, participants unearthed behaviors and beliefs that no longer served them, spotlighting roadblocks to growth.
Post-break, I took the spotlight, and discussed how, “what we wear” isn't frivolous but a science-backed! We discussed the psychology of ‘cognitive dissonance’ and ‘enclothed cognition’, and how it impacts how clothes influence our thoughts, moods and behaviours.
Participants then paired up for a (stylist-like) guided Q&A, which addressed the how to assess the fundamental elements of style (using a workbook). This tool showed how tweaks in silhouette, proportion, and colour can make values pop—or flop.
Closing
The workshop wrapped up with a fashion fiesta, as participants tried on Perk By Kate goodies, sharing insights on style and values. Their reflections were immortalized on the Perk By Kate mirror. With more workshops on the horizon for late May or early June, the journey of style and self-discovery is just getting started!
